Ty started the Foundation in 2011 to support Youth Cancer Survivors in pursuing higher education. Today, the Foundation awards Survivor Scholarships annually to South Dakota students who have been diagnosed with cancer at any point in their lives.
This scholarship is open to South Dakota high school seniors and past graduates pursuing post-secondary education during the upcoming academic year.
